We all shed some tears when we lost the beautiful #10 puppy at 4 days of age.  She's with her Grandpa Raven now in "doggy heaven"

Hi Everyone, for those who know yes this litter of puppies is low in birth weights, however very long in leg, neck and body.  They delivered right on time, and all are being supplemented on goats milk every 2-3 hours and all are gaining, with no losses in birth weight.  Tia was very ill right after the breeding, and lacked appetite even though given supplements all the way through her pregnancy.  We have a number of puppies through the years born this small that have ended up very large (80-85 pounds).  The puppies are very alert and active, and are in their fighting over the teats (10 puppies for 8 teats).  This litter will be supplements on goats milk clear through the first 21 days when they will be started on cereal.  Tia is doing a wonderful job as a first time mother (of course she helped with Valentine's last litter) and is already showing off her new litter of puppies to visitors.  Watch for the progress reports with the newest pictures and updates on weights, etc.

Marlene put the warming tray with puppies in the whelping box to transfer them, and Tia decided she liked the warming tray better!!!!
