"JENNY" at almost 3 years of age and expecting her first litter!

"Jenny" is a fun loving, very people social standard poodle, very much like her mother "Lexi".  She also passed that sociability on to many of her puppies, producing several "impulsive clowns".  Jenny is owned by Brenda Thorpe and will only produce the one litter.  She has now been retired from conformation showing, has been spayed and is competing for her obedience title.

"Jenny" showed well at the International Shows in Fall 2005 and Spring 2006 earning her Adult International Champion title, taking two 2nd's in open bitch classes of 6, and a 1st in an open bitch class of 8.  She was two weeks pregnant at the time of showing, having been bred to "Kit" for a mid June 2006 litter.   She also earned one National Champion leg as well.  "Jenny" was critiqued under judges Ms Jane Rappolo - USA, Mr. Richard Samide - USA, Honey Glendenning, Canada; and Ms Patti Long-Smith, USA.  Following is a composite of her critiques:

Brenda did a lovely job of presenting "Jenny", and both have come a long way in the learning process in the past two years.  Brenda added a young female puppy in early 2006, and is now showing her "Kaylee" as "Jenny" was retired for a bit to have a litter.  She produced a beautiful litter of blacks and blues June 13, 2006 as apparently she does not carry her dam Lexi's  brown gene.  The pups were sired by our beautiful brown stud "Kit".

At 1 yr of age at the International Show in Albany, Or

Junior International Champion Friendships Sapphire Gem "Jenny" is the delight of her owner - outgoing, with a sense of humor, but loving and sensitive as well.  She is a beautiful “Sterling” daughter, making "Molly" her grandmother.  Her dam line is also out of Friendships breeding – going back to our foundation poodles “Cassie” and “Raven”, and Karin Benker’s foundation poodles “Windy” and “Mickey”.  "Jenny" will be competing for her adult title on the International Show Circuit in Fall 2005-Spring 2006, and also continuing to compete on the AKC show circuit with owner - handler Brenda Thorpe of Eugene, OR.  She is being groomed by Brenda with Mishelle's assistance.  "Jenny" surprised us all in her 4th International Show, taking Best of Breed puppy in very tough competition with all ages of puppies represented (9 classes) in the ring, and then taking a Group 1st with all of the Non-Sporting breeds being represented as well.  She is a real tribute to her sire "Sterling" and dam "Lexi".

"Jenny" will also complete her testing when she turns two years of age, and may be having her first litter in Fall of 2006.  We are all very excited about her future.

JN1 Litter - Intl CH Friendship Sapphire Gem "Jenny" x Intl CH Friendships Pepik "Kit:"  - Litter was born June 13th, 2006.  "Jenny" did not carry her dams brown gene, therefore the entire litter was born blues and blacks.  Unfortunately both parents have to carry the brown gene to produce brown puppies, however the puppies will carry the brown gene since one of the parents is a brown and therefore have the potential of producing some beautiful brown and silver beige puppies.  This should be an outstanding litter in temperament and conformation.     This litter was in conjunction with first time breeder  Brenda Thorpe, OR .  JN1-1 "Jessie" - blue neutered male is still available from this litter.  He is a very active male with a high level of intelligence and needs to go to an active family or someone who wants to train him in agility.

Available in conjunction with breeder Brenda Keller:  "JESSIE"  (JN1-1) PR084287/01  Blue Neutered Male, 2 1/2 years old.  DOB:  June 13th, 2006  $1150.00  (JESSIE IS NOW SOLD AND HAPPY IN HIS NEW HOME - MAY 2009)

"Jessie" at 2 1/2 years January 2009 - Blueing out beautifully.

Sire:  Intl CH Friendships Pepik "Kit"                        Dam: Intl CH Friendships Sapphire Gem  "Jenny"

"Jessie" is crate trained, kennel trained and grooming trained.  He is a delight to work with, and now that he has reached two years of age is becoming a bit more mellow, although he still has good working drive.  He has already been neutered, and is up to date on vaccinations and wormings.  He has had some travel experience.  "Jessie" is strong on the leash so may not be the poodle for families with very young children, although he has shown his gentle nature with small children, we feel that his "working drive" is better suited to a family with older children, or a family wanting to do agility, search and rescue, or tracking with him.  He is highly intelligent, and ready to bond with a family of his own.  You can check out his family's pages under our standard listing from the menu:  Sire-Kit, Dam-Jenny, Grand dams -  Dotti and Lexi, Grand sires - Sterling and Shiloh, Great grand sires - Cary and Micky, Great grand dams - Molly and Windy, Great great grand sires - Saxon and Raven, and great great grand dam - Cassie (who lived to almost 16 years old and the foundation bitch of Friendships Standard Poodles).    Jessie has to be seen and worked with to be appreciated.  Price is negotiable to the right family.
